Pru Life UK Opens New Manila Headquarters for Hybrid Work
Pru Life UK has launched its new headquarters in Bonifacio Global City, near Manila, Philippines, designed to support a hybrid work model. The PRUHouse office, which opened on January 7th, features a variety of spaces to enhance productivity and creativity, reflecting the company’s commitment to its employees and embracing the evolving needs of the workforce. The headquarters, measuring 51,000 square feet, accommodates more than 800 employees.

The design incorporates collaborative zones, focus pods, and social hubs, along with ergonomic workstations. Rashelle Cejo, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Pru Life UK, emphasized the company’s focus on employee well-being and adaptability.
“We want a workspace that reflects our culture — how we care for our employees, and how we embrace hybrid work for Gen X and Y,” Cejo stated in an interview.
The office includes a multifunctional space called The Hive, equipped with a large video screen for events, and The Sanctuary, which offers both formal and informal work settings. The Huddle is available for training and development.
The Instant Group, a London-based company, completed the office space using its managed office product, which integrates the client’s brand and specifications.
Paul Marshall, Instant Group’s Executive Director for the Asia-Pacific region, noted the growing trend of businesses embracing hybrid models.
“We are already witnessing insurance firms and financial institutions embracing hybrid work models, with large traditional office spaces being traded for more cost-effective and flexible solutions,” Marshall said.
The headquarters’ design features two separate floors with minimal wall barriers to encourage collaboration, and a move away from the previous four-story setup. This transition reflects the company’s commitment to a more inclusive and focused working environment, particularly in the context of adapting to hybrid setups.
Cejo highlighted the challenges of engaging a diverse workforce that includes both on-site and remote employees. Beyond work-related spaces, the headquarters provides recreational and wellness areas. These include The Mini Hive, a tiered stadium-style space, areas for mothers, a multi-faith prayer room, library, clinic, and creative marketing studio.
Marshall added that the space was carefully designed to focus on sustainability, energy efficiency, and employee well-being. Demand for flexible workspaces in the Philippines increased significantly last year, driven by larger corporations needing more workspace. This trend is supported by the broader shift in professional values, with flexibility being a top benefit for employees. The 2025 Hays Salary Guide confirms this, showing that 47% of professionals cite flexibility as the number one benefit, followed by health insurance.
Cejo reflected on the importance of creating a space where employees can connect and collaborate after the disruption of COVID-19. She emphasized that an engaged workforce leads to productive employees, which ultimately translates to improved customer engagement and service.
