SEC Ends Robinhood Crypto Investigation
Robinhood announced the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has wrapped up its investigation into the company’s crypto trading operations, with no enforcement action taken.
This comes as a signal of possible regulatory changes in the crypto field.
Robinhood received a Wells notice last May. This notice is usually sent when the SEC plans to take action.

The SEC has shown signs of relaxing crypto rules. They set up a team to clarify the regulations around crypto assets and withdrew some key accounting guidelines.
These adjustments are happening before Paul Atkins, Donald Trump’s choice for SEC chair, takes over. Crypto business leaders see Atkins as supportive.
The SEC also dropped a lawsuit against Coinbase last week. This ended a long legal dispute that was seen as a threat to the trading platform.
