CHENNAI: Star Health and Allied Insurance Company, a standalone health insurer, has significantly expanded its Home Health Care (HHC) program, now available in 100 locations throughout India. The initiative, which launched in 2023, provides customers with cashless doorstep medical care, according to a company statement.

Under this program, a partner doctor visits the patient’s home to evaluate their condition. The doctor then conducts a diagnosis and provides necessary treatment if hospitalization isn’t required for the symptoms. Regular in-person follow-up visits are also included.
Anand Roy, the Managing Director and CEO of Star Health Insurance, emphasized the customer-centric approach of the program, stating, “By bringing quality medical care closer to customers, we aim to ensure their comfort. This initiative is tangible proof of our focus on transforming health insurance delivery by ensuring that it is accessible, affordable and designed around the evolving needs of customers.”
