Two major insurance firms have made significant leadership appointments to address changing regulatory requirements and regional business needs. Addept Insurance Services has appointed Kelly Jarrett as its new finance director, while Price Forbes has named David Howells as senior executive officer for its Dubai operations, pending regulatory approval.
Addept Insurance Appoints Kelly Jarrett as Finance Director
Kelly Jarrett, formerly finance manager at Arc Legal Assistance, brings extensive experience in financial management across both insurance and not-for-profit sectors. As a board member and finance director, Jarrett will oversee financial strategy and operations at Addept Insurance, which was launched in 2023 and has recently introduced new legal expenses insurance products. The company has additional product launches scheduled for 2025.
“The company’s approach to delivering cost-effective insurance solutions provides a platform for further developments,” Jarrett said. “I aim to use financial planning to support strategic initiatives and contribute to future growth.” Addept Insurance managing director Richard Finan noted that Jarrett’s background aligns with the company’s operational development and customer expansion plans.
Price Forbes Names David Howells as Senior Executive Officer for Dubai
Meanwhile, Price Forbes has appointed David Howells to lead its Dubai operations as senior executive officer, subject to approval by the Dubai Financial Services Authority. Howells previously held senior roles at Roanoke International Brokers and Besso Re, where he served as managing director and SEO for the MENA region. His responsibilities will include guiding Price Forbes’ regional business strategy and coordinating with global business units.
The appointment comes as Price Forbes continues to engage with developments in the Middle East insurance market, including the expansion of mandatory coverage policies. “Joining Price Forbes aligns with my experience and offers the opportunity to work within a globally connected organisation focused on technology and insurance development across the region,” Howells said.
Price Forbes deputy CEO Sarah Horler welcomed Howells, stating that he will be a “tremendous asset” in bringing innovative solutions to regional clients and leveraging the firm’s global market position. As part of the transition, current SEO Tony Saada will become chairman at Price Forbes Dubai, continuing his involvement in the company’s leadership.
These appointments reflect the insurance firms’ efforts to strengthen their leadership and drive growth in a changing regulatory environment. The new executives bring significant experience and expertise to their roles, positioning their companies for future success in their respective markets.
