USAA Supports Military Families with Vehicle Donations

USAA is giving back to military families by providing them with restored vehicles this year through the National Auto Body Council (NABC) Recycled Rides program.

This program is all about fixing up cars to give to folks who need them. USAA believes getting around is super important for veterans and their families.

This year, USAA is giving away four vehicles to military families to show their appreciation.

“We’re happy to keep helping veterans and their families through the NABC Recycled Rides program,” said Randy Termeer, USAA’s property and casualty president, in a press release. “These vehicles mean way more than just a way to get around; they show how thankful we are for what our service members do.”

USAA, a big provider of insurance and retirement plans for U.S. military folks, is all in on supporting veterans.

The families getting these cars were suggested by charities, who knew they needed reliable transportation. The project involves teamwork with NABC and other partners in the car repair world to fix the vehicles up and give them away.

The first vehicle was presented on April 21 in San Diego, CA.

The restoration was done by volunteers from Fix Auto Poway. The recipient was nominated by Support the Enlisted Project (STEP), a group that helps military families.

USAA says this event is just another way the company is giving back to the military community, backing up its promise to help veterans and their families with helpful programs.
