Cumbria Police seized a vehicle in Egremont on Monday, March 17, after officers discovered it was being driven without valid tax or insurance. Officers from the Cumbria Constabulary Nuclear Estates Team stopped the vehicle on the A595. The vehicle was subsequently impounded, and the driver was issued a traffic offense report for driving without insurance.
Copeland Police announced the seizure on social media, stating, “Cumbria Constabulary Nuclear Estates Team (CCNET) officers PC 2716 and PC 2102 were on patrol on the A595 in Egremont, and stopped a vehicle which had no tax and no insurance.” The statement continued, “The vehicle was seized and uplifted for having no tax, and the driver issued a traffic offence report for having no insurance. This carries a £300 fine and six points. The driver is also liable for the recovery costs of the vehicle.”
