VIA Secures $28M to Scale Decentralized Data Protection Platform
SOMERVILLE, Mass. (March 18, 2025) — Via Science, Inc. (VIA) announced it has raised a $28 million Series B investment. The funding will accelerate the growth of VIA’s platform, which provides high-security, easy-to-implement data and identity protection for governments and enterprises.

VIA’s decentralized, zero-trust architecture addresses concerns about data breaches, insider threats, and the need for quantum-resistant security. The platform is currently in use by the U.S. Department of Defense, which has rigorously tested its capabilities.
VIA’s Series B round was oversubscribed and included investments from Bosch Ventures (lead), BMW i Ventures, MassMutual Ventures, and Sentinel Global, alongside existing investors Westly Group and select others.
Colin Gounden, co-founder and CEO of VIA, stated, “Cyber experts at the U.S. Department of Defense and global enterprises have recognized that decentralized, passwordless, quantum-resistant solutions have become the only viable option to secure data transfers.” He added that the investment would “accelerate adoption of the world’s first military-grade Web3 data protection platform by large enterprise customers.”
The company’s approach differs from traditional cybersecurity solutions that focus on network boundaries and passwords. VIA’s platform allows enterprises to safeguard their data through decentralized identity management and end-to-end quantum-resistant encryption.
Adam Jackson, a partner at Bosch Ventures, noted that VIA’s technology has “phenomenal traction” across multiple sectors and that its company is seeing “huge applications for their technology in the enterprise.”
Kate Ravanis, COO and co-founder, highlighted the platform’s ease of deployment and maintenance.
Kasper Sage, Managing Partner of BMW i Ventures, added that securing data flows between systems is “more critical than ever.”
The company’s solutions stand out with their decentralized Web3, quantum-resistant architecture powering seamless interoperability across connections.
