West Bend Insurance Company has announced a significant restructuring of its executive leadership team, effective July 1. The move is designed to position the company for long-term, scalable growth and enhanced agility in today’s rapidly changing insurance environment.

According to Rob Jacques, president and CEO, “We’ve been working hard for the past year on our strategy and are very excited about our future. The key is now to execute effectively, and this structure we believe best positions us to do that.”

The realignment includes several key appointments. Marc Emery has been promoted to senior vice president and chief underwriting officer, overseeing both the Commercial Enterprise and Personal Lines divisions. This expanded role aims to strengthen alignment across underwriting teams and improve the company’s ability to deliver value-driven solutions to agents and policyholders.

Kelly Tighe has been appointed senior vice president and chief marketing and sales officer, bringing together the company’s marketing and sales functions. This consolidation is expected to enable more coordinated strategies across channels, supporting West Bend’s long-term vision. Tighe has been with the company since 1999 and has led the sales team since 2008.

Jim Schwalen has been named senior vice president and chief strategy officer, a new role focused on leading enterprise-level strategic initiatives. Schwalen has been with West Bend since 1996.

Dave Ertmer will continue as chief operating officer, overseeing operations and claims. As part of the streamlined structure, both Emery and Tighe will now report to him.

These changes reflect the company’s commitment to a more agile and scalable leadership model, with a focus on innovation, partnerships, and customer service.
