World Insurance Associates Expands Presence in Rochester Area Through Acquisition
World Insurance Associates LLC has acquired the business of Christopher Williams Agency and Barrett Millard LLC, extending its presence in Pittsford and the greater Rochester, New York region. The transaction was finalized on January 1, 2025, although financial details remain undisclosed.
Established in 1961, Christopher Williams Agency provides insurance products for both individuals and businesses. In 2023, it acquired Barrett Millard, and the combined entity has become a respected player in the local insurance market. Bill Millard of Christopher Williams noted that their success stems from a combination of quality service and strong relationships.
“The right combination of service and relationships has helped us remain a trusted presence in the industry,” Millard said. Betty Barrett added that joining World Insurance Associates would enable them to offer clients a broader spectrum of services.
Rich Eknoian, CEO and co-founder of World Insurance Associates, praised the acquired team’s client-centric approach, stating, “They are a group of professionals who take a genuine interest in their customers and their insurance needs.” This acquisition aligns with World Insurance’s strategy to increase deal volume and expand geographically.
In late 2024, World Insurance Associates also acquired Archambault Insurance Associates, a third-generation family-owned agency serving clients across Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. Founded in 1928, Archambault offers personal, commercial, life and health, and surety insurance products.
World Insurance Associates, headquartered in Iselin, New Jersey, ranks among the top 50 insurance brokerages in the US, operating across retail, wholesale, and wealth management segments. The company has been active in mergers and acquisitions, particularly in the latter half of 2024, following a slower start to the year.
